When you look in the mirror what do you see? You see yourself changing, right? Most of the time the person looking back at us isn’t what we hoped to see. The Word of God tells us that one day we will be changed into the image of Christ. In this episode of The Good Path, we’ll discuss Revelation 1:12-20, and John will show us what Christ looks like, and who we are becoming.

Do you see Jesus as Santa Claus or as the Savior of all mankind? My purpose with this podcast is to present Christ truthfully, and speak in a way that God can use to strengthen and expand faith in Christ and understanding of Christ to everyone who hears me. Hebrews 11:1 isn’t a blind faith, it is faith with understanding.

How do we come to the truthful understanding of the involvement of Christ in our life? By understanding His character and His nature

This is what John is presenting in this vision…

In the last episode we saw His Place (as our priest & king) and His position (in the middle of the church)…

Now we’re going to look at His Person;

  • His head; the hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow…

The “White Wool Hair” of Christ, is His Grace that He gives to all who ask it of Him. He is full of Grace… And He wears it like a crown… John 13:1-17

  • His eyes; were like a flame of fire…

Jesus said in Matt 6:22-23 that the eyes are the lamp of the body. Jesus is the light, John 12:35Jesus is the truth, John 3:21, & John 1:9-12

  • His voice; was like the roar of many waters…

When it comes to communicating God is chatterbox… Job 33:14-17

  • His right hand; he held seven stars

The “Right Hand” in scripture represents power or control. Does church history show the control of Christ? Luke 9:46-50

  • His mouth; came a sharp two-edged sword

The sharp two edged sword coming out of His mouth, Hebrews 4:12. A sickle can be used for war or peace, just like the Word.

  • His Face; was like the sun shining in full strength…

The shinning Face of Jesus; Matthew 17:1-8, Acts 9:3-6, Malachi 4:1-2

We are transformed by seeing Christ for who He truly is, from one form of glory to another, 2 Corinthians 3:18

This is the image Christ that John saw, and the image that he presented to the 7 churches, and to us;

  1. Head – the graciousness of Christ – our forgiveness, cleansing, and peace…
  1. Eyes – the truth of Christ – who a person is can be seen in their eyes…
  1. Feet – the Good News of Christ – is our stability, foundation, and strength…
  1. Voice – the communication of Christ – God is always communicating with us through Christ…
  1. Right Hand – the control of Christ – the leader of the church is Christ…
  1. Mouth – the Word of Christ – the work of Christ is done through His Word…
  1. Face – the Glory of Christ – our promise is in the face of Christ as we’re transformed from glory to glory…

7 aspects of Christ… in scripture the number 7 means completion… this is entire message of God – Christ

Do you see Christ the way John saw Him? Do you see Christ the way someone else is displaying Him to you? The image of Christ that you see is the image of Christ you are becoming…
