Is being “Born Again” an accessory or a necessity? That question gets answered in this podcast…

Do you really need to be "Born Again"? You may think you're doing OK without it... So why is being "Begotten from Above" important?

Acts 3

There is no salvation in any other name under heaven by which people "MUST" be saved... Plain, simple, and to the point, yet everyone doesn't believe it... To us who believe in the name "Jesus Christ" it's obvious, but to those who don't it's mysterious?

Why must we be "Born Again"?  (1Peter 1:17-23)

Peter gives us 2 reasons why we have to be "Born Again";

Because there is only 1 Judge;

Because God doesn't play favorites;

Abraham was called a Friend of God (James 2:23, Isaiah 41:8).

But, "Flesh is flesh..." (John 3:6). It doesn't matter what you think you may have done for God to earn His favor, all those works have been left behind with your body... Job 1:21

Everyone will receive "impartial judgment" of every work...

God doesn't only judge our actions, but He also judges our motives... Proverbs 16:2

Now, what were you saying about you never killed anybody? 1John 3:15

Hate is a motivation... James 2:8-11

Can you truly say that your good motives aren't for selfish interests?

The things we "Do" or "Don't Do" must only come from "Love". This is the only acceptable motivation to the "One True Judge"...  1Corinthians 13:3-12

6 witnesses explained why everyone will be condemned;

There is only "One True Judge"

That Judge is completely "Impartial"... there are no favorites and no mitigating circumstances...

For these 2 reasons, everyone would stand before God condemned...

Peter says because everyone would be condemned we should all "conduct the time of our stay here with fear"...

Peter isn't saying that we should "Live" life on earth "IN FEAR", but we should "Conduct" ourselves during our time on earth "With" fear...

The Greek word for "Conduct" comes from 2 root words which mean to "Up Twist" or to "Twist Up"... In other words, during our time on earth, this fear should be interwoven (Twisted) into our thoughts and actions.

But we see ourselves everyday... we see all our faults and all our sins... and we allow the "Accusers" within us and outside of us to convince us that somehow we've lost our redemption...

How can we overcome our judgment hurdle in our "Born from Above" growth process?

When we're faced with our accusers we have to "persuade" our hearts with the following acknowledgments;

I Know that - I'm redeemed from the futility of life in the flesh by the blood of Christ...
I Know that - The blood of Christ is imperishable so it can never wear out or be used up...
I Know that - Christ has been with God from the beginning, but He's appeared for everyone who believes in God through Him...
I Know that - God raised Christ from the dead and gave Him glory so that everyone who believes in Him, will Hope in God...
I Know that - My heart & soul is purified by His obedience to the truth that was motivated by His love...
I Know that - the Result of believing in Christ, is being "Begotten from Above" by the Word of God being planted in my heart and growing (living and abiding) under the safety of my Redemption...
I Know that - the sign of a Born Again life is the exhibition of "Love from a Pure heart"...

This is both the reason "Why" or the "Reason" for the need for everyone to be "Born Again" and "How" we can conduct our lives "With" the fear that everyone will one day stand before God ...

Because, in the flesh we are all condemned...

And since life in the flesh is useless to us, we need to live differently... Not differently, as in never committing another sin, but differently by being assured in our hearts that we are "Redeemed" forever by the imperishable Blood of Jesus Christ...

That's the way someone who is "Begotten from Above" conducts their time here on earth...
