It’s been a while since my last podcast, and I thought I’d drop a line to let everyone know why I’ve been so quiet.

When I was a pastor I had to have a message or two every Sunday. As if God works on a time table like scheduled flights out of a city. “It’s 10 o’clock on a Sunday morning so God must have something for us.” But the Spirit of God isn’t at our beckon call. As Jesus said, “The Spirit is like the wind.” Sailors can’t predict when they will have a favorable wind. The wind takes the ship where the wind blows. A sailor can decide whether they want to go the way the wind is blowing, or stay at home until the wind is blowing the right way. I’ve chosen to go with the wind of God’s Spirit, no matter where it takes me or how long it takes me to get there.

I’ve had a podcast ready to record for 2 months, but as I finished my notes for Revelation 6:9-11, I was drawn to verse 9 which shows us the souls of the martyrs under the altar in heaven. Since then, God has been teaching me things about the soul that I obviously needed to know. It has been an eye-opening experience for me. I don’t want to use the too often phrase “Life changing” but it has altered my view of my life, in ways that I see I’m being changed.

I’ll release the next podcast in the Revelation series, but not until the wind of God delivers me to His current destination.

For right now, I will share this with you though. In the Old Testament God gave Israel the 10 Commandments. And we know that Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament Law given to Israel, and He revealed God’s Grace to mankind. And grace was seen in what Jesus did, and in the Beatitudes (Matt 5:1-11), and in what He said was the first commandment, “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

Therefore the Spirit of Grace encourages us to pursue the fruits of His Grace, which are; Love, Self-Awareness, Empathy, Humility, Fairness, Generosity, Authenticity, Forgiveness, Honesty, and a Passion for the Truth.

This Grace is found in the Soul of God and Christ. And this Grace was revealed to us when Jesus brought the message of the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. The Law is opposite Grace; earth is opposite the wind; hell is opposite heaven; death is opposite life; and our bodies are opposite our souls. If we live in pursuit of the Spirit of God’s Grace, physically, we are going to be painfully aware that we are living opposite the spirit of this world. If we’re not in opposition to the spirit of this world then our souls will feel that pain instead of our bodies.

Jesus said in chapter 13 Matthew verse 44 that the soul is a great treasure that when a person discovers it, they will sell everything they have to regain it.

God Bless you on your journey to discovering the treasure God has given you!
